Five Frequently Asked Questions from events customers?

Whether you are brand new to events planning or are a seasoned campaigner, you will have questions.

Here are some of the most common questions we are asked and how we answer them;

  1. What types of events can you book in Victoria Hall?

    1. There’s no short answer to that, we’ve supported live music, orchestral, and choral events, we’ve worked with cultural events, operas, and gospel choirs, as well as international conferences, AGM’s and political hustings. We’ve welcomed live audiences of 450 with additional live streaming, as well as smaller groups. Sometimes our events are just in the Main Hall, sometimes events book our extensive range of seminar rooms for conference break-out rooms, performer rehearsal areas, green room, and refreshment hubs. Sometimes an event or meeting will take place in one of our larger (or smaller) second floor lift accessible spaces. Whatever your event, we are likely to have a space to fit!

  2. What services do you offer?

    1. First of all we offer great personal customer care. From your first enquiry, to sourcing equipment, refreshments, advice on room capacity, storage, deliveries, recording, set-up and close down, our team will work with you from start to finish. As events manager I aim to plan and attend most events, but I’m also ably backed up by our team who are always available.

    2. We are really proud to work in partnership with local companies who support us with amazing AV, good locally sourced and prepared food, always matching your requirements and your budget.

  3. What are your fees?

    1. We haveclear pricing on our website, and we will discuss all your event requirements before giving a final quotation as obviously fees charged will depend on the scale and nature of the event. During planning, if your needs change, we will update you with any price changes that might result. You’ll never be charged more than we agree upon and there will be no hidden extras or surprises.

  4. How early do we need to start planning?

    1. It’s never too early to start a conversation about an event. Even if things change during planning, to get the space you want on the dates you need, just get a date in our diary and let’s take it from there. Our quotes are given without obligation, you don’t need to commit until you are absolutely ready to book the space.

  5. What if we need to cancel

    1. never has there been a time when that question is more relevent. We’ve always had a clear and fair cancellation policy - and now we have updated it so that it takes you clearly through each step of what happens if your event is affected by COVID or COVID related events. We rely on each other to work to our responsibiliteis and commitments, but sometimes things happen that are out of our control, and we never forget that customer relationships are our priority.

    ……. talking of COVID……..our next blog will be specifically about how we have worked to ensure Victoria Hallis COVID secure and the additional risk assessments we have so that when you book with us, you can have confidence that you will be safe, and always within national guidelines. If you are thinking about booking an event, a training course, a meeting or an activity and you don’t want to wait to read the next blog, why not just use the contact forms on our website and you can see what we can do together.
